Gopher Baskets are a humane and effective way to protect your plants roots. The 3/4" mesh, 20 gague wire is galvanized for maximum corrrosion resistance, and superior to chicken or aviary wire which tends to be too large to effectively protect roots, or disintigrates quickly in moisture. Delivered flat to minimize shipping costs, the baskets are easy to shape up. TIP: install baskets with +/-2" of green wire above ground before placing the plant in the hole and backfilling- this technique also blocks the overland route.
