DESCRIPTION

The ladybug is an aggressive predator that is extremely effective for controling pest infestations including aphids, mealy bugs, scale, leaf hoppers. It is important to control ant populations in the infested area(s) before releasing any beneficial insects since ants are also aggressive, and are protective of pests, sugar secreting aphids in particular. It is also recomended that the ladybugs are released at sundown (because they don't fly at night).

For light to moderate infestations (each ladybug will consume up to 50 aphids or other soft bodied insect /day), you can use the values below to determine the appropriate quantity for your situation.*

150 = 100 Sq Ft

300 = 200 Sq Ft

750 = 500 Sq Ft

1,500 = 1,000 Sq Ft

4,500 = 3,000 Sq Ft (1/8 acre)

**Please note: heavily infested gardens may require larger quantities.

All insect purchases include delivery and release into your garden. If you prefer to have the insect shipped directly to you so you may release them yourself and/or with your family/children, just say so!
